Jour 2 :

Bogota

A day devoted to visiting Bogota, including: – The Cerro de Monserrate, for a breathtaking view of the capital and surrounding area. Perched at an altitude of 3152 metres, the Sanctuary, accessible by cable car or funicular, is a place of pilgrimage particularly popular on religious feast days.

– The Paloquemao Market, where you’ll be immersed in a whirlwind of colors and scents, taste exotic new flavors and pick up all the ingredients needed to make Bogotanos’ favorite dish; -The la Candelaria district, Bogotá’s historic and cultural center, which has preserved its authentic colonial atmosphere; along the cobbled streets, you’ll discover colorful facades, beautiful carved wooden balconies and baroque churches.

– The Gold Museum, one of the most dazzling on the continent. Nearly 34,000 pieces of gold are on display, making it the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldsmiths honoring the Quimbaya, Taironas, Muiscas and Tolimas civilizations.

– The Botero Foundation, dedicated to the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, featuring his own works (some 100 drawings, paintings and sculptures), as well as his private collection of no fewer than 85 masterpieces by internationally renowned artists (Renoir, Dali, Chagall, Picasso, Miro, …)….) – La Plaza Bolivar with its imposing buildings (City Hall, Palace of Justice, Cathedral, National Congress…)Note 1: the Candelaria visit is on foot (3 to 4 hours’ walk in town), with the support of a vehicle for the Monserrate and Paloquemao visits.Overnight at Hotel Casa Deco in Executive room.

Jour 3 :

Bogota

Drive from Bogotá to Cañon del ChirajaraNote: approx. 2 hrs. Depart for the Chirajara canyon, for a half-day canyoning trip. After a few minutes’ walk through the forest, you start the adventure by sliding down natural slides, practicing different abseiling techniques on waterfalls, jumping into water holes and finishing with a via ferrata. An experience full of emotions! Overnight at the Casa Deco hotel in an Executive room.

Medellin

Transfer to Bogota airport for your domestic flight.Note: approx. 30-minute drive.Domestic flight to Medellin.Welcome at the airport and private transfer to your hotel. Today you’ll discover the city of Medellin in an original and environmentally friendly way. You’ll tour the city of eternal spring on electric bikes, visiting the Museum of Modern Art, the los Pies Descalzos and Del Rio parks, and discovering the Plaza Botero.Note 1: tour lasts approx. 4 hours.Note 2: museum entrance fees are not included.Overnight at Hotel Quinta Ladera in Deluxe room.

Jour 5 :

Medellin

Let’s go for a half-day adventure in the Region of Antioquia. Explore the Rio Verde and Samana, two crystalline, green-tinged rivers surrounded by mountains. You’ll cross the forest in a 4×4, walk through a canyon, discover waterfalls with transparent water, and take a 25km rafting trip. Get ready for an adrenalin-filled adventure in the choppy waters and rapids of levels 3 and 4.Note: Activity subject to weather conditions.Overnight at Hotel Quinta Ladera in Deluxe room.

Jour 6 :

Medellin

After breakfast, it’s a 1.5-hour drive to the municipalities of la Ceja and Abejorral. You’ll set off on the kilometer-long tyrolienne over the Piedras River, enjoying thrills and breathtaking views of waterfalls and deep canyons. Once on the other side, you set off on a 1.5-hour hike through jungle to reach a waterfall,where you can take a dip in its natural pool. After a second zip-line ride, you’re back on the road to Medellin. On the way, stop for lunch in a typical restaurant. Overnight at the Quinta Ladera hotel in a Deluxe room.

Jour 7 :

Cartagena

Free morning to enjoy the city of Medellin, with a stroll through the pedestrian streets of the Quartier Carabobo, where you’ll discover different styles of architecture, from the Palacio Nacional to the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, before reaching the Plaza Botero, where bronze statues of the famous artist are on display. Visit to the Musée Antioquia; housed in an Art Deco building, it is one of Colombia’s most important museums, with a large number of works by Fernando Botero, as well as an array of pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary art collections.

In the afternoon, transfer to Medellin airport. Domestic flight to Carthagena de Indias.Welcome to Carthagena de Indias, on the Caribbean coast. Transfer to your hotel in the historic center. Overnight at the Casa Canabal hotel in a Deluxe room.

Cartagena

Departure for a mountain bike ride on the trails of Tierra Bomba Island, facing Cartagena Bay. Early in the morning, you follow your guide on a bike tour to discover Tierra Bomba Island, with a breathtaking view of Cartagena. After a good workout on the island’s trails, you finish the ride on the beach of Punta Arena for a welcome swim, and a Caribbean lunch!Duration: approx. 4 hours’ cycling.Route: between 15 and 35km, depending on your level and inclination.Overnight at the Casa Canabal hotel in a Deluxe room.
