Transfer to your hotel in the Candelaria district and end of the day free to enjoy the Colombian capital at your leisure, with its mix of modern districts and historic center, urban architecture and green parks. Half-day tour of Bogotá’s historic and cultural center, which has preserved its authentic colonial atmosphere; along the cobbled streets, you’ll discover colorful facades, beautifully carved wooden balconies and Baroque churches. The DAMARTES (Damas y Madres del Arte) project is an association of women sponsored by the Proboquilla Foundation, helping them to create their own income through coconut-based crafts. They all have impressive lives and stories, which they love to share with every visitor. The association is a working group of great women capable of creating amazing things from simple objects. After a brief presentation of the association, you will be invited to create your own coconut object: bracelet, key ring, earrings, necklace, vase, belt, etc. Enthusiasm and patience will be the watchwords! The workshop will take place in a rustic but typical restaurant on the beaches of the village of La Boquilla… Lunch is taken on site. Afternoon free to enjoy the many attractions of Cartagena. You can visit the historic city at your own pace and enjoy its unique atmosphere, discover the modern district of Bocagrande, store for handicrafts in Las Bovedas, take a day trip to relax on the Rosario islands, admire the sunset from the city walls.
