A day devoted to visiting Bogotá, including: – The Candelaria district, Bogotá’s historic and cultural center, which has preserved its authentic colonial atmosphere; along the cobbled streets, you’ll discover colorful facades, beautifully carved wooden balconies and Baroque churches; – The Plaza Bolivar with its imposing buildings: city Hall, Palace of Justice, Cathedral, National Congress… – A visit to the Mirador, from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Bogotá and its surroundings.
– In the afternoon, visit the Botanical Garden, a park located in the heart of the Colombian capital, home to a large number of plant species found throughout the country. The Llanos
Déconnexion Challenge: 4 days in the heart of isolated nature for an invigorating and authentic getaway. Transfer to Bogota airport for your domestic flight *Note: approx. 30-minute drive* Domestic flight to Yopal. Arrival at Yopal airport and drive to the El Encanto de Guanapalo reserve, about 2 hours from Yopal On the way, enjoy the view of the immense plains, and on arrival at the reserve you can already observe the wildlife that surrounds you Visit a *Hato*, a typical Llanos farm. Stroll between the lagoon and the forest, where you’ll see capybaras, spectacled caimans, howler monkeys, turtles, various herons, storks, ibises and iguanas. Lunch at the farm, followed by a digestive break in a hammock if you wish. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a canoe trip to get a better look at the local wildlife. At the end of the day, transfer to your hotel and dinner. Overnight at the Hotel Hato Altamira in a Standard room.
The Llanos
After breakfast, transfer to the San Luis Nature Reserve, where you’ll embark on a classic 4×4 safari to see hundreds of capybaras, deer, spectacled caimans, turtles and local birds. If you’re lucky, you may also see an anteater, an anaconda (especially during the dry season in February and March) and armadillos. 4X4 safaris on the estate offer great opportunities to observe both the local flora and fauna. Lunch in the farm’s main house, followed by a hammock break if you wish. In the afternoon, the safari continues until nightfall. Accommodation and dinner at the farm. The Llanos
After an early breakfast, you’ll set off on a horseback ride through the savannah. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. *Note:* *depending on your horse insurance, this tour can take up to 4 hours.*If you prefer, you can take this walk which will still allow you to get close to the local wildlife. Lunch will be taken in the farm’s main house.
In the late afternoon, you’ll explore the forest edges and enjoy the golden hour. You can continue for a night walk to observe anteaters and nocturnal species such as reptiles, amphibians, armadillos, porcupines, possums and night owls. Accommodation and dinner at the farm. The Llanos
Déconnexion Challenge: you’ll spend a few days in a sumptuous glamping site in the heart of nature, for a more intimate discovery of the coffee region. Early in the morning, as the sun rises, you can go for a walk in search of wild animals, which are most active during the early hours of the day. Alternatively, you can opt for piranha fishing in the reserve’s lakes – fried they make a delicious lunchtime snack! After lunch, transfer back to Yopal airport. Domestic flight to Bogota. Domestic flight to Armenia. Arrival in the « coffee triangle » (made up of three departments: Quindío, Risaralda and Caldas), where almost 10% of the world’s coffee is grown in the Andean highlands of western Colombia, at altitudes ranging from 800 to 1,800 m. Departure for a magnificent and renowned finca de café. Visit the plantation nestled in the heights of the Quindio valley to learn all about coffee, from seed to cup, thanks to a professional explanation of the entire process (sowing, picking, roasting, and delivery of the beans to the beneficiary). You’ll then take part in an extraordinary taste and sensory adventure. As a « catador », the master roasters will let you feel the soul of real Colombian coffee. You’ll never drink your morning coffee the same way again! On the way back, you’ll take a break at Pijao. Quindio Botanical Garden
Disconnect Challenge: a few days in a village in the heart of the Sierra Nevada for a rejuvenating and revitalizing break.Depart for the El Quindio botanical garden. This 15-hectare park (including 10 hectares of forest) is home to over 650 species of plants, including many varieties of bamboo, heliconias and palms. The park is also home to many species of birds, which can be observed from a tower 22 m above sea level. Finally, you’ll discover the butterfly hothouse, home to some 1,500 species from various habitats in Colombia and elsewhere. *Note: Approx. 45-minute drive* Overnight at Glamping Entre Rios in Safari tent.

Cocoa has invigorating properties and stimulates a good mood. What’s more, its antioxidant-rich content is excellent for reducing stress, while improving blood circulation. For an hour and a half, you’ll indulge in chocolate therapy, a massage based on locally-produced cocoa oils, to help you benefit from all the virtues of this surprising product. Take part in a cooking class with the Hacienda Bambusa chef. Free day to enjoy Providencia Island at your leisure. *Optional mangrove discovery tour. Depart for a hike between land and sea, along the trails from Manzanillo to Manchineel Tree.
