Travel Itinerary

Jour 1 :

Leticia

Transfer to Bogota airport for your domestic flight. Domestic flight to Leticia. Welcome in Leticia, and transfer by private boat on the Rio Amazonas to the lodge. After a 1h30 boat ride, check into your lodge. After dinner, take a night walk in the jungle to soak up the sounds, and discover species of insects and animals that only come out after dark.

located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, the lodge operates in an environmentally-friendly manner: rainwater is used, electricity is only available between 3 and 11 p.m., and meals are prepared according to supplies and fishing. Activities are generally organized as follows: a first outing in the morning at 9:00 a.m., a return at the end of the morning, followed by lunch at the lodge. A second outing is scheduled between 3:00 and 5:00 pm. The order of activities can be reviewed with your guide depending on the weather conditions at the time and your interests. Overnight in a lodge on the banks of the Amazon River.

Jour 2 :

Calanoa Reserve

After breakfast, visit the indigenous community of El Vergel, made up mainly of Tikunas. Meet the Indians and discover their ancestral culture and handicrafts. Lunch at the lodge. Lunch at the lodge, followed by an afternoon walk in the nature reserve surrounding the lodge. Your guide will show you the secrets of the flora and fauna, medicinal plants, gigantic trees and the adaptation of different plants to the selva. Along the way, you may come across colonies of micos, parrots, armadillos and many tropical birds. Afterwards, you can take a canoe back to the lodge, passing through the Quebrada Matamata, on the edge of Amacayacu Park. Overnight in a lodge on the banks of the Amazon River.

Jour 3 :

Calanoa Reserve

In the morning, we sail to Puerto Nariño, crossing Lake Tarapoto, home to the pink Amazonian dolphin. There are also several species of caiman, numerous birds (parrots, toucans…), several species of monkey (howler, capuchin…) and various mammals such as armadillos and tapirs. Lunch in Puerto Nariño, a village renowned throughout Colombia for its ecological initiatives. End of the day free in the village. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight in a lodge on the banks of the Amazon River.

Jour 4 :

Bogota

After breakfast, departure for Leticia by private boat and domestic flight to Bogota. Arrival at Bogotá’s El Dorado international airport, at an altitude of 2,640 m. Transfer to your hotel in the Candelaria district and end of the day free to enjoy the Colombian capital at your leisure, with its mix of modern districts and historic center, urban architecture and lush parks. Night in a hotel in Bogotá’s historic center.
